Started off wet for a few hundred KM then sunny all the way to Arcata, California! The coast and the sea off Oregon are wild – I should know ;-)

When I was sailing up the coast and getting hammered I was
close enough to see cars just cruising on 101, that’s when I made a promise – one day I will see it from there – today was the day!
As mentioned in the earlier post – wanted to stop at Coos Bay
as that was one of my pit stops, When I make it there I find that Coos Bay has
no marina – the marina where I refueled is in Charleston closer to the mouth of
the bay and a few km from Coos Bay proper – the mistake is understandable as my
marine chart just showed Coos Bay and for a sailor a bay is a bay!
