Day 2 is a good one – great scenery and no drama! Except, I did find a bad burger on the west coast – in a place called Yachats, OR – and they do not serve alcohol!? How could a restaurant not serve alcohol!!!???
The Oregon
coast has been incredible – blowing very hard and kicking up a lot of sand
and spray – but the view is amazing
Tomorrow I
head for Coos Bay – have some memories of the place when I was sailing up the
coast – will certainly visit the marina.
One event of
note worth mentioning – as I was driving to Astoria I kept seeing road signs
for Vancouver (there is a town called Vancouver near Portland) - freaky! - shades of the twilight zone!
Slower going
on 101 but the view compensates
and apparently the best (California) is yet to come
